Pastor Ron Forrest came to us in July of 2011. Bro. Ron was raised in a Christian Home in Barnsdall, Oklahoma and was saved at Falls Creek at the age of 16 and called to ministry at the age of 17, the following year. Bro. Ron has served as SS Teacher, Youth Pastor, Worship Leader, Mission Service Corp Volunteer with NAMB as well as Senior Pastor. Received A.A. Degree from Rogers State, B.A. in Biblical Studies from Midwestern Seminary College and currently working on Masters in Church Revitalization at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Bro. Ron has pastored at Nelagoney Baptist Church in Nelagoney, OK; First Baptist in Okay, OK; Bluestem Baptist in Dewey, OK and First Baptist Church in Tishomingo, OK prior to coming to Brush Hill Baptist Church here in Checotah, and helped with 2 New Church Plants in Pershing, OK and Muskogee, OK.
Mary Ann and Ron have been married for 38 years! Mary Ann has ministered in Nursery, Children's Ministry, TeamKids, and Teaching. Mary Ann has over 30 years in banking experiencing. She's actively involved in the church and loves to sing!
Bro. Ron and Mary Ann celebrated their 38th Anniversary. They have 3 adult Children Lindsay married to Matt, Ryan married to Rachael, and Shannon married to Jason. Along with 7 Grandchildren Ethan, Rylan, Isaac, Braelyn, Raley, Austin, Rory and our newest arrival Kinslee born April of 2019!
